Today we celebrate National and International Children’s Rights Day. The most important document on children’s rights is the Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/strong>, adopted in 1989 by the United Nations General Assembly. On the other hand, in 2014. The Sejm of the Republic of Poland passed a resolution to establish National Children’s Rights Day<\/strong>. This convention is one of the most important international documents, ensuring children’s rights to dignity, care, equality, education, health care and participation in society<\/strong>. All of these rights are aimed at ensuring children’s safety, development and happiness. <\/p>\n\n

Let’s remember that “A child has the right to be himself. He has the right to make mistakes. He has the right to have his own opinion. He has the right to respect. There are no children – there are people.” ( quoted by Janusz Korczak)<\/p>\n\n

We want every child, not just today, but always, to be surrounded by tenderness, respect and a sense of security<\/strong>. It is our collective responsibility – to take care of children’s rights, educate and respond when these rights are violated.
