The Joanna Radziwill Caring Wings Foundation is pleased to invite everyone to a magical photographic exhibition called “Homemakers,” through the lens of Marek Czezyk,<\/strong> who works every day as an educator accompanying children and young people at the foundation’s home in Kamionka.<\/p>\n\n

The exhibition is a kind of summary of work, experiences and an invitation to the childish and adolescent world of fantasy. The author’s desire was to capture what sits inside children, to connect the world of culture with the world of nature. The result is a series of twelve photographs. Each photograph is the sum of the children’s experiences, visions of themselves and the colorful creation for which they were portrayed. In addition to the photographs, the exhibition includes exhibits prepared by the charges and multimedia related to the life of the House. <\/p>\n\n

The first opening of the exhibition was held on November 26, 2022, at the Kamionka branch of the Wings of Care Foundation. Currently, the exhibition can be seen at B Slomka Gallery 1 <\/strong>, which is located in the Main Building of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The preparation of the exhibition and accompanying events was overseen by a curatorial team composed of art history students of the Catholic University of Lublin under the supervision of Dr. Anna Dzier\u017cyc-Horniak.<\/p>\n\n

Charity action during the exhibition<\/h3>\n\n

All willing to support the children under the care of the Joanna Radziwill Foundation can purchase a postcard “brick” with a photo presented during the exhibition with a symbolic value of 10 pln. Another form of support is the opportunity to purchase a photo (presented at the exhibition) with dimensions of 50 x 70 cm. The price of the photo is 1500 pln and is equivalent to the monthly cost of maintaining one child in a foundation home. <\/p>\n\n

The camera is a key that opens many doors. I entered quite easily through the ajar door of a house in Kamionka. Inside, I observed the bricks and wood resting on a foundation made of heart. Wanting to press the handle again, I felt that it became heavier. I stayed. I settled in. The series of photographs came about as a result of a personal encounter with children, educators and myself. Even before I pressed the shutter, I invited the children to join me in a creative adventure, to which I myself let myself be drawn. The colorful artifacts are the result of hard work, crazy fun and ideas about myself. Each portrait is a colorful mask, behind which a piece of the soul shines through. The camera is a key that opens various doors in the literal and metaphorical sense. It opens the mind. It opens creativity. It opens to friendships. It opens hearts. And I’m going into it <\/p>\n\n
