During the pandemic period, violence and sexual abuse against children increased in Poland. Now children need much more support than usual. <\/h4>\n\n

We talk to the children in our charge every day. We know what they need, what difficulties they face at home, we know what they run away from and what they dream about. <\/p>\n\n

“1 child out of 11 admitted that there is no one<\/strong>“.<\/h4>\n\n

The statistics of violence in recent months are alarming! A November 2020 study by the Giving Children Strength Foundation indicates that during the pandemic between mid-March and the end of June 2020, as many as one in ten (11%) children experienced violence from a close adult! 1 child in 11 admitted that there is no one,<\/span><\/strong> who could offer him support in a difficult situation. The pandemic period has hit the youngest residents of Warsaw’s Praga district particularly hard. They are the most vulnerable to loneliness, violence and lack of access to remote education. * Research from the Giving Children Strength Foundation available at https:\/\/pandemiaprzemocy.fdds.pl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

We are for them and we are with them. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

Our Foundation’s house is open, and every day we wait for nearly 30 lonely children aged 6 to 19. We talk to them, support them in their studies, provide support from educators and psychologists, and feed them. We need your support like never before. We know that there are more such children. That’s why we also reach out with help to children from Grodzisk Mazowiecki and a village near Lublin. <\/p>\n\n
