The Joanna Radziwill Care Wings Foundation has launched the “Wrongly Raised?” campaign . The aim of the campaign is to draw attention to the real stories of children who are often perceived as “difficult” or “naughty.” These are children whose behavior is sometimes interpreted as a sign of bad parenting. While in reality they are signals of their inner struggles and cries for help.
In daily work with children, it is crucial to pay attention to various behaviors. They may be the result of emotional difficulties, problems in the family or other crises. Instead of reaching for stereotypical evaluations or punishments, it’s worth asking the question, “What’s behind it?”
In the words of Ewa Woydyłło:
“Studies show that if a child from a dysfunctional family comes across even one adult who reaches out a helping hand to him or her, he or she has a chance of not suffering from what happens at home.”
Why is it so important?
The Foundation supports children and young people in need, offering comprehensive assistance, including psychological and educational support. The goal of the activities is to overcome problems and build a better future for children. The campaign draws attention to the systemic challenges and complex causes of “bad behavior.” At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of supporting children in difficult life situations.
