Safer Internet Day

Today we celebrate Safer Internet Day!

According to the “Young Heads” report, nearly 50% of students have experienced online hate speech, and 8 out of 10 students had a social media account before the age of 13. That’s why it’s so important to talk to children about safety in the online world.

Here are some steps we can take to make the Internet a safer place:

🔵 Let’s not share our personal information and passwords.

🔵 Let’s be critical. Not all information on the Internet is true.

🔵 Let’s secure our computer and phone. Let’s regularly update antivirus software and use strong passwords.

🔵 Let’s not click on unknown links.

🔵 Let’s respect ourselves and others.

At the same time, let’s say STOP to online hate by promoting respect and empathy in our online interactions.
