Anti-Depression Day

February 23 is the International Day Against Depression established by the World Health Organization (WHO) as one of the most serious disease entities in the world. We prefer to talk about the Day to support people with depression or the Day to talk about depression in general.

At the Foundation House

In our Foundation we also work every day with people who are affected by this disease. Children, adolescents their parents. All of them need the specialized support of a psychotherapist and not rarely pharmacology. As a team of educators and psychologists, but above all as a team of sensitive people, we know and see how severe this disease is.

The most needy children , young people or/and their parents, with your help, we provide them with regular psychological support.

Education

It is important for us to speak out about depression to educate, so below is a video prepared by WHO, aptly describing the life of a person suffering from depression.

We know that each and every one of us knows at least 3 people suffering from depression, and we know many more people who do not tell us about this depression. Therefore, let’s be tender and affectionate to each other. Let’s not judge, let’s not advise. Let’s support each other and accept each other.

How to speak to a person suffering from depression?

Many guides and graphics have been created that teach how to speak to a person suffering from depression and what not to say. We are eager to use the available educational materials. Read them and pass them on. We believe that by educating each other we can develop social sensitivity.
