SUBSIDY FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CITY OF WARSAW. WARSAW – PROJECTS FOR CHILDREN IN WARSAW HOME

UNDER A GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CAPITAL CITY OF WARSAW, CHILDREN AND YOUTH FROM THE WARSAW FOUNDATION DAY CARE CENTER WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:

PROGRAM PT. “WIND IN Sails” for the organization of free time for children and young people.

The following initiatives will be implemented as part of the project:
1. educational and re-educational classes;
2. classes shaping social skills – classes aimed at prevention of aggression and behavioral disorders in several spheres of children’s functioning: basic social skills ( e.g. listening, communicating, asking for help, cooperation with other people, dealing with emotions, dealing with stress);
3. Artistic and educational activities, among others: artistic activities with the use of unconventional materials, active activities developing the reception and creation of art;
4. Group activities: board games corner, creative play corner with blocks, talent stage (tailored to the needs and interests of children);
5. Individual psychological support according to the needs of children;
6. Food for children and adolescents;

PT PROGRAM. “RESCUE WHEEL” for the prevention of leisure time of children and adolescents.

The project will include the following initiatives:
1. educational and re-educational classes;
2. social skills classes and psycho-educational workshops.
3. care and education classes
4. group classes

PROGRAM PT.,, ARTISTIC TRAVEL” in which artistic and cultural activities are planned.

THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF 3 MODULES:

I Module p. , “Artistic journey in Europe”.


The module is aimed at a group of 16 children aged 7- 12 years. Duration of the module – 4 months (March-June). Within the framework of the 1st module there will be=a series of 16 classes consisting of artistic and cultural travel in Europe. Each class will be devoted to a different country, its culture and art. The purpose of the module is to familiarize children with the culture of European countries and to show their richness and diversity, which will contribute to a more open attitude to communing with diversity, enrich knowledge about the culture and art of European countries. Each workshop will be concluded with the performance of artwork by children using a variety of art techniques . The classes will be held at the Foundation’s headquarters, in the open air and in the gallery and museum space.

II Module- theater workshop

The module is aimed at a group of 16 children aged 7- 12 years. Duration of the module – 4 months (March – June). A series of 15 theater workshops will be held as part of Module II. The purpose of the workshops will be to increase the understated self-esteem of workshop participants, unlock creative expression and creativity, find their potential, train imagination, develop body awareness, create and interpret theatrical etudes. Forms and methods of work: work with the body, verbal improvisation, work with associations, work with emotions, theater games. Each class will consist of three parts. The first warm-up part will include theater games and activities to help warm up the body and mind and create an atmosphere in which participants are ready to play different characters. The second part will introduce the area of the current activities (space, emotions, props, voice). In the third part, participants will create theatrical scenes taking into account the area we are working on in the second part. The classes will be held at the Foundation’s headquarters.

III Module – theater workshops

The module is aimed at a group of 16 people aged 12- 18 Duration of the module: September – December. A series of 12 theater workshops will be held as part of Module III. Within the module, young people will work on the development of spontaneity and creativity and self-expression. Theatrical scenes will be used to train skills: opening up to others; expressing one’s own needs, feelings and expectations without fear of others’ evaluation; coping with stress; public speaking. The goal of the workshop: to raise the understated self-esteem of workshop participants, to unlock creative expression and creativity.
