Since the beginning of the war, our Foundation has been involved in helping Ukrainian families in Poland. Thanks to your support we managed to do a lot and we plan to do even more!
- Since March, in our house at Omulewska Street 19 in Warsaw we have been hosting Saturday Cafes. Every week, from 10 am to 1 pm, Ukrainian families visit us,treating themselves to homemade cakes, waffles, tasty tea and aromatic coffee. In a separate room, we show Ukrainian fairy tales and have a play corner for children, and when the weather is good, we play in the garden. People who visit us can count on our help in organizing their life in Poland, we help with finding accommodation, dealing with paperwork etc. The whole Warsaw team and many volunteers are involved in these activities.
- We organize Polish language classes for people from Ukraine. Currently we offer classes for two groups of 15 people: on Mondays and Fridays (10.30-11.30) and Tuesdays and Fridays (10.00-11.00). In a few days, the first students will graduate, and we will begin another series of lessons.
- Our foundation provides a safe haven not only for Polish children. Children from Ukraine are also provided with permanent, everyday care in houses in Warsaw, Milanówek and Kamionka. We have recruited 4 new employees: a Polish-Ukrainian coordinator and 3 tutors for each group.
- We are increasing our accommodation capacity – we have completed renovation of a house in Milanówek, and our house on Omulewska Street is currently undergoing a complete metamorphosis. Thanks to these actions we will be able to help more children.
Hereby we would like to thank our Donors, Friends and Volunteers <3 Without you we would not be able to do so much in such a short time.
